Did you like school? (In General)

I like it but some of it is just a waste. I mean art, SRT (homework time, convos, etc.), and gym are just a waste of time.

Math, Science, Comp. Sci, English, and Spanish are the only classes that will ever really count from my schedule. The rest are just for graduating credits and some awards or something that require it.

I like school in the sense that I get to learn some fascinating stuff while being in a social environment with my friends

However, I can't stand homework, busywork, (most) tests, etc.

I believe all work should be done entirely IN school, as opposed to going to school for 8-9 hours then coming home to 3-4 hours of homework ontop of extracurricular activities and afterschool jobs.

During the time you are in high school, you think it's boring and useless, but about 10-20 years later, you'll really miss all those crazy memories. well at least that's what my friend says, i'm still in high school!!! 😛

I realized I did not like school after the first 15 minutes of my first day of kindergarten. Man, was I disapointed when I found out I had to go back the next day.

After suffering through 18 or 19 years with high school, college, and grad school I feel the same way.

Same here, I have hated school since the beginning....

No. I do not have a desire to learn. I wish I did :frown:

Oddly enough my desire to learn is why i don't care for school. I liked it back in grade school, but since then I've learned how to shovel myself full of information 🙂heart: internet). Since its just seemed like slow paced spoon feeding. I must confess too though that my instructors are completely clueless in the field they're supposed to be teaching (i had to argue that an ip address was 4 bytes, not 32.....thats still not settled.......). Anyway highschool wihtout a doubt does nothing but teach at the lowest level possible. I did have a few instructors who were particularly cool, enjoyed their jobs, and tried harder but those were rare. College has been even worse and I say that as a senior who has been to two colleges. So pick a really good college and hope for the best I guess. Personally I dislike school and can educate myself far more effectively.

The bulk of people I met were either...pompous a$$es, or complete elitist jerks. The teachers were pretty cool, though. I still stay in touch with them.
