Did you like Hackers 2?

You know it's been a few years since i watched hackers so i was thinking about wacthing it again.
(and yes i am a little ashamed to admit that i Love it! )
aaahh the memories...

I remember however seeing hackers 2 awhile back in blockbuster.
No one ever talked about the sequal. Is it worth watching?

i saw Takedown and its nothing like the original hackers.

Oh it's called Takedown. That's why i couldn't find it on imdb. And it's about the capture of Kevin Mitnick!
Hmm...i might have to watch it now even with bad acting. Kevins story was pretty exciting.

Hackers is probably one of my top 3 movies. Seriously. The cheesy 90's motif. The greatest soundtrack implementation in the history of cinema. Can't beat it. Reminds me of the beginning of the Internet and the innocence and excitement of it.

this is NOT a sequel to the Hackers movie.

This is a movie about Kevin Mitnick and his capture. none of the characters or actors from the original Hackers movie are in it (at least none of the important/main characters anyway).

The original is a cult classic, the soundtrack was simply fantastic. Starting the movie off with Orbital's Halcyon and On and On, one of the greatest tracks ever. When Angelina Jolie was actually HOT (I know most people think shes only gotten hotter, where as I feel the opposite) and showed her breasts when they were actually natural. Most of the movie was factually accurate for the time, although the way they made it all "virtual" was kind of annoying but needed for the laiman's. Simply one of my favorites of all time.

Hackers 2, however, was disgracefully horrible on every level.

Not to mention - you would have been better off if you had never heard of it. I suggest you try and forget you ever heard anything. Trust me, forget

Yeah hackers was definetely one of the greatest movies of all time. Cheesy now yeah but also eternally cool.
My question is if there's no Hackers 2 then why did everyone know what i was talking about when i said Hackers 2? Also the whole reason i asked about it was because i saw a litle at blockbuster that said "hackers 2".
Anyway thanks to this thread i discovered something even more interesting.

I really like the first one As cheesy as it is, I watch it all the time. Hackers 2 (Takedown) is nothing like the first one though, the acting isn't great, but I like to watch it from time to time. It's a fairly interesting story about how Mitnick evaded the feds and how he finally gets busted.
