Did you like Friday Night Lights?

Just wondering because I did a search and a lot of you guys did not

I loved it...I actually got to see it two weeks early before it came out with my old high school football team (I helped out during the summer camp last year) and it was very touching to me...

one of my favorite movies ever...and thats saying something since I hate a lot of movies, def up there IMO with black hawk down, shawk shank, and tears of the sun

I guess you have to love football or at least played it and no what it is like to go through all that sh!t and back with your teammates...

it wasnt bad, but it was a big cliche that could be seen from miles away.

see whats what I mean..it was a cliche to people who have never played or did not truly understand the depth

yeah okay :disgust:

EDIT: you played soccer....point proven

i love people that try to read into crap and think theyve grasped some great meaning that really isnt that complicated or hard to see. you can hump billy bob and tim mcgraw all you want, but the movie wasnt that complex. dont forget, i played football also since thats obviously a requirement to even attempt to grasp deep and complicated themes such as those found fnl. is this the first sports movie youve ever seen or something?

all bow to the great football and movie guru that is son of a noob.

I didn't like it. The whole movie they played out how the team sucked and showed all of it's problems, then all of a sudden towards the end of the movie they are supposed to be good enough to get to the state championship? Just WAY too much negative going into the end of the movie Poorly put together IMO.

The movie was varsity blues minus the funny hijinks that made VB bearable.

The only good point of FNL was that the show off got owned early, as opposed to last couple of games.
