I know a few very large people who you would also believe can't jump, but similarly, they just don't want to jump. Unless you know someone who can speak elephant, we really won't know for sure.

Elephants can't jump because of the obscene amount of poop contained within. That's my theory and I'm sticking too it. Apparently, they are surprisingly good swimmers and use their trunk as a snorkel.
