That the Hollywood pulls in ~ £6billion BUT the porn industry pulls in £9billion?!

I heard that on the radio and thought wtf? I knew the porn industry is BIG but didn't know it made more £££ then Hollywood (or maybe the film industry? Not 100% sure). There is a HUGE pirate thing with the porn industry, so how are they making more £££ then Hollywood? Lower overheads? Not paying millions for films that tank?

For all the money that the porn industry makes, you'd think they'd actually be able to make "good" porn. (i.e. lighting, camera work, direction, etc..) Sadly, there is apparently no incentive to do so.
 
and porn doesn't have to have a good story to sell plus they could practically release hundreds of videos a month and generally don't have to spend as much on advertising whereas movies aren't released in the 100's each month and even if they do, you would only watch the good ones to which there would generally be only 1 to 2 at best.

The porn industry isn't 1/100th the size of Hollywood. Just the real estate value of one major studio is more money than the whole porn industry has.

I could care less about a "story"... I'm more annoyed with:

Directors/cameramen who film performers in front of a window, without taking lighting into consideration. (silouhette pr0n)
If you are filming a hot girl, film her, not the guy.
Zoom the camera out. I do not want the point of view to be 1/2 inch from the skin of the performers.
Spitting is NEVER attractive.
Don't change camera angles every 5 seconds.

...and so forth.

do you really care what the sets and sh!t look like? when you watch porn? all i care about is seeing the chick...they could make porn in a cardboard box and as long as i can see the chick, i'd be happy.

why do they feel its necessary to have the view from behind the guy? i don't want to look at his @ss. i want to see the girl, the whole girl, not her lips or her eyes or her belly button...
