Shipping and taxes for a hard drive added $20 to the cost for those in California. If you live in a different region, you may get a better deal
 
It is worth it if you can get the same instant discounts/rebates that's given at the store.

As almost everyone knows by now, it's virtually impossible to get anything good.
 
According to their website, the final price of the 45GB hard disk is $99 after rebate. Whether they will have them in stock is a different question. Although $20+ would be added to your price, only $8.29 would be for shipping. Tax would included in either online or retail purchases.

My guess is that their stock is greater online than at their stores.
 
I think I'll order online the next time something juicy comes around. I just wanted to use my 45GB tomorrow at work, so I wanted to pick it up in person. They went quickly this morning in Fairfax, VA (only 18 in stock, I think). I'll just try to avoid such a rush in the near future.
