There's nothing wrong with MSG if it's used at a normal rate, just like salt. The whole MSG thing is fear-mongering at it's finest.

This. Besides, if you want to avoid it, just cook at home. It really is that easy.

The "Accent" flavor enhancer that grocery stores sell in the spice aisle is 100% MSG. I often use it in dishes I make, just a dash does wonders in broccoli beef, salsa, baked beans, etc.
