You think "Technological advances", "Animal Emotions", "Hypothetical black holes", and "Advanced AI" are ridiculous topics? I admit that some of my threads might not be as intellectually challenging as the rest, but isn't that normal in this section of the forum?

This thread's topic is as serious as it gets. The one about the animals was also very serious, even though I accepted that I was wrong...

I answer as many questions as I can. However, I'm not online 24/7. Plus I have a job, so I have to get away from anandtech.com for a while sometimes.

In your animal emotion thread over 40 replies asked you why you spelled human without an "h" (or ridiculed you for doing so), and you did not reply to a single one. That's pretty much the only question in that thread that mattered and you ignored it completely. Now people in this thread are doing the exact same thing, and lo and behold, you still haven't answered why you do it. And hell, I'll go ahead and ask it here, just so you can ignore it yet again: why do you spell human without an "h"?

We are still several generations away from having our conciousness transferred to an artificial body.

We are however possibly the parents of children that will be able to have double if not more their lifespan. Since aging has been found to be genetic, it is only a matter of time before that gene can be turned off at a particular point in ones life and in theory make humans ageless.

Not only Michio Kaku, but Ray Kurzweil as well. Both of them are geniuses. However, Ray sometimes makes wild assumptions that I do not fully believe.

We cannot really predict accurately when we will achieve certain technological milestone. However, I do believe (based on tons of evidence) that as we develop new technologies, we will develop even NEWER technological advances faster than before, since those same advancements will make progress easier. The mistake that many people make is that they think progress will advance at the current rate, when in reality the rate of progress will increase exponentially.

So when people say "oh, it will take 1,000 years to create self-aware AI", they are not taking into account the fact that the technology that will appear in 10 years will make the development of self-aware AI a reachable goal within another 10 or 20 years.

I know you are just making a joke, but my life doesn't revolve around the Singularity. Besides, the Singularity won't arrive in one big swoop. It will be gradual.
