the german U-boat crew suffered some of the worst casualties compared to all other branch of german service.

despite the impossible task of returning home alive after sending out for a patrol, the dedication and discipline of the german u-boat crew lasted to the very end.

moreoever, germany had some of the most advanced Uboat at that time called the Type XXI which is the ancestor of ALL modern submarine

That sounds high... I thought it was 24-26 million total deaths in WWII, including civilians.

I would guess sometime during the Somme offensive (that killed 1m if memory serves me correctly)
