Did you have a teacher that you can attribute your ideas for the future to, or your current job to?

I did. He was a former university professor of history. Hard SOB of a marker, but probably one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. He had bits of stone from the Parthenon, Colliseum, Pyramid of Khufu (Great Pyramid of Giza), great wall of china, Chichen Itza...he was the man that got me really interested in teaching history.

My Computer Engineering teacher was the same way. He gave us leeway so we could do whatever we wanted, really. He wasn't really a computer engineering teacher, he was a tech teacher. Tech theater, robotics, communications...He taught me how to do pyro, how to do theater lighting and sound...amazing guy.

Edit: Fixed for spelling.

yeah, but moreso in college. it broke my heart when he killed himself right before the end of the semester before he read my final thesis for his class, which I was writing for him. I gave it to his mom at the funeral.

Yes.

But I don't want to talk about it anymore.

:(

;)

Can't say I had one particular teacher but I did have the same math teacher all through high school. He was pretty cool. He dressed geekily (picture Neil Young from his Wanderin' video) :)

The most significant teacher in my life was Shamus McDonald.

He taught me how to milk a cow and hitch a covered wagon. God Bless him.

Sure, two actually. Both my German teacher and computer science teacher left big marks on my life.

Brother Thomas since he could kick anyone's ass and he sometimes did.

Mr. McGovern because he was a cool cat and challenged me.

Mr. Tomski, my Computer Science AP teacher my Jr. year of HS was by far my best teacher ever.
I learned more in that class then any other 2 classes combined.

I was already into computers before that class, however, that class really taught me a lot.

Totally missed high school. Dropped out in 9th grade, did lots of bad stuff, got my GED in 1996, started college in 1998, still in college in 2005; haha! Took the scenic route.
