And as to the people who don't understand the comments: They were up 23-3 late in the 3rd quarter... and lost 24-23. The Bears' offense didn't score any touchdowns. Therefore, Dennis Green = on the warpath.

The Cardinals defense, Leinart, and Anquan Boldin did everything humanly possible. Four interceptions, two forced fumbles, two TDs and no picks for Leinart... what else can you ask for?

Their O-line is pretty much pathetic. They have no running game via no O-line which caused the EDGE to have almost 40 carries and less then 60 yards and a lost fumble that resulted in a TD for Chicago.

Chicago deserved to win that game, and they did. This isn't fvcking politically correct peewee ball with your 10 yr old where every kid gets a "participant" trophy.

You put up points on the board any way you can, and the team that gets the most points on the board deserves to win, and always does.

Translation?.

They have a big play offense. One that can't do the little things right. Defend the big play and you'll rattle Grossman. Rattle Grossman and the offense goes to crap. Play conventionally and the big play will kill you.

They have a very crackable defense. Just ask Carolina. They will not make adjustments for one person. Steve Smith killed them in the playoffs last year. Boldin killed them in this game.

Arizona went in there knowing this. They had a plan and they executed it perfectly. Chicago's "scary" offense managed to score three points and turned teh ball over six times.

The difference in the game was that the Bears turned EVERY Arizona mistake into a touchdown. I don't care who you are... that is lucky.

If I were a Bears fan I would be very worried right now. Every team you play is looking at the film of this game. Az had a plan and executed it perfectly. Much like when the Chargers took the Colts apart, the secret is out.

Yah, its too bad the Bears caught up and crowned their ass by the end of the game. =(
But it just goes to show, and this holds true for most all good teams in all sports, the good teams put themselves in position to have luck fall on their side. And bad teams put themselves in position to have luck fall against them.

The Cardinals are no doubt better than their record shows, but they need to gain confidence, they need to learn how to win. They'll probably be a good team in a couple of years. Just not tonight.

To throw out a "for instance", a good team runs the ball straight up the middle on the last running play before a game ending field-goal, setting up an easier field goal and not one from the hash mark. Well, we see what the Cardinals did...

I agree, the bears should have lost this game.

that said, Arizona didn't necessarily do great job on either side of the ball. Leinert only took the team all the way down the field once for a touchdown. The rest of the drives were for less than 25 yards, with the exception of one being a drive for 49 yards (all a result of grossman's interceptions/fumbles)

Arizona played decent on both sides of the ball, but not great.

That's not so true of tonight's game.

I don't think the Cardinals found a weakness in the Bears to exploit. Grossman flat out stunk. He was terrible. And he kept trying to force the big throw. That's not something the Cardinals did to the Bears. Heck, the first drive he had no accuracy, & they went 3 & out. Second drive the Bears get to 3rd & 2 and try for a 20+ yard pass play...

Arizona gave Grossman every opportunity to make the big play - Grossman failed. The very first play of the game, that's a throw Grossman has made all year long. That first play, the Bears had just McKie in the back, so everyone everywhere knew Grossman was going for the big play with Berrien, and Berrien beat the defense and was open for the touchdown.

I don't know what this game means for the rest of the season - but it's not as you suggest.

Well, the Cardinals will play the Raiders next Sunday. This is the best chance for Leinart to get his first win, if the Cardinals can recover from this meltdown in the most epic proportion. This game kinda reminded me of the 1992 Oilers-Bills wild card playoff game, the Oilers went down hill from there and then moved to Tennessee and became the Titans. People are calling for Green's job already.

Wait, Arizona didn't do a good job on defense? I completely disagree. Their defense was awesome.

I can't believe James had almost 40 carries. I think Arizona should have took more deep shots downfield and stretch the Bears defense a little. Arizona seemed to play too conservative after they had the big lead; in addtion to all the times the Bears gave the ball right back to them.

Toward the end of the first half, I believe the Cardinals were inside the red zone, after one of their turnover recoveries. If they would have scored a touchdown, instead of a field goal, they maintain momentum and possibly win this game.

I turned the game off with about 5 min. to go, right after the Bears returned the James fumble for a TD. Even though the Bears were down, I had the feeling they would win and didn't want to watch grown men from Arizona cry.

If Green was like that at the press conference, imagine what he was like in the locker room immediately after the game!

They are overrated and the ESPN hype machine wishes them to be crowned Superbowl champs.

6 turnovers, 13 points
2 turnovers, 14 points

and that is the game winning difference. How much did the bears win by?

I agree, the bears tend to win (at least in the last few years) by punishing the other team for mistakes. The Cards didn't punish the bears enough for the number of mistakes they made.

The Cards should have won this game by 30 or 40 points, but they didn't use the turnovers they got to take the Bears out of the game.

A normal team should have, but not the cards...

Anyone else remember Barkely in the first half? "20 points isnt going to win this game"

Same here. My wife was yelling at me to turn the TV off and I finally gave up after that fumble. I knew I should have kept on watching...

Heh...I turned it off right before the James fumble. I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore...too tired.

I really don't think Green will be fired immediately, maybe not even after this season. They have a good new quarterback that shows potential, and even though this game was upsetting for them, I think they have some potential for the rest of the season. Obviously nothing that happened tonight was Green's fault. Do keep in mind that they would've won had that FG attempt been like two feet to the right.
