Just think it is interesting to see others from this industry in rather random and obsure places that you thought you wouldn't bump into them...

like seeing a celeb at your favorite place to eat, or someone you read something by also starts to attend your local gym..

Now that i read his post, it sooo seems like Tom: making a big deal out of something that is relatively a small issue.

Like I said before, I just thought it was interesting and thought that others might also find it interesting to see what others in the "industry" are interested in...almost like seeing someone famous at your local supermarket or something....just found it unexpected.

I wouldn't consider him a celebrity... although he probably think he's one. Can his ego get any bigger? He goes onto somebody elses forum and tries to tell them what's conscientious and what's not... and how to operate their own forum.

If he's a celebrity he must be very minor (;)). He isn't on TV.

For those of you who don't care: Why did you bother reading this thread? AND THEN WASTE MORE TIME REPLYING?

Oops, forgive me. I just noticed that according to most of your postcounts, you really don't have anything better to do with your time.

I find it somewhat interesting to see another facet of Tom. Just as I would find it interesting to see something else about Anand. So thanks for the link, bozack.

I'm not sure if you realize this, but this forum is an open discussion.

who cares? I used to go to his site all the time. But over time he got to beleive his own hype.

I would go there and see what the reviews of hardware was. Soon you could tell that he was biased. He even lied a few times on his site. No i dont have links because it was years ago.

I had a lot of respect for the guy. NOW? heck no.

Hey TK, pretty much one of the reasons I posted it was simply because of that fact, it is always interesting to see what people in this industry do outside of computers and it is odd "bumping" into somoene from here on such an obsure site as that, if had been something a little more mainstream I wouldn't have given it a second thought but since watch collecting is such a small niche I found it interesting to say the least.

Also it gives people some idea of just how well people can do financially, I mean he isn't posting on a Timex site but rather A Lange site, those watches start at usually $13,000...so I guess people in the hardware review industry can do well for themselves as I am sure by now his website is a full time gig.

Oh well, just thought I would share a rather obsure link but I guess no one here really cares.

Does he post articles/reviews written by someone else and take credit for them?
