I was told to ask if I had any questions. I learned all my sex ed from school and scrambled Cinemax.

Late night Cinemax was my teacher... 😱.

Nope, never got the talk. Instead, my mom checked out some sex books from the library and handed them to me. I specifically remember one of the books explaining sex...

"When a man and a woman love each other, they want to be as close as physically possible, so........."

You know, the birds and the bees?

I never did. my parents never really talked about anything like that or about not doing drugs, etc.

edit: stupid forums running slow messed up my post

same exact thing happened to me with my parents.

Nope, never got the talk. Except for my dad randomly blurting out:"If you knock her up, I'll give you a case of beer and a smack in the head."

I love my dad. 🙂

My mom's advice was to "always wear a raincoat!"

I had sex ed starting in 5th grade, so I heard everything before they needed to talk to me.

Yes....right in the middle of the freaking season premiere of Star Trek: NG. :|

I was/am still pissed!

It wasn't even anything really useful. Nothing about safe sex.

When I was eight, I was leafing through the World Book Encyclopedia and saw what looked like a moose's head and it caught my attention. Next day in school, I was the coolest kid ever.

Since I was the smart kid in the family, I guess they assumed I had already devoured the encyclopedia and never gave me the talk. My older brother did get the "use protection" talk but I never got it (because they assumed I was too geeky to score with a chick???)
😕

Oh, I'm 21 now.

Edit: I typed my age wrong the first time. I was eight, not seven. Just remembered that it happened in Winter '93.

LOL Why bother? If you see your kid watching Star Trek: TNG, You know you NEVER have to worry about your kid not having safe sex.

j/k Love Trek myself

My speach was "If you knock her up, don't come home"
