Did you ever think that you were crazy?

Did you ever shock yourself by having an insane and/or disturbing thought? Like I never act on my wacky thoughts but I've had some disturbing thoughts - like I'd see a knife in my kitchen and think of stabbing someone with it... OK, I'm probably scaring people but my question/ thought is this - is the occasional insane thought normal and healthy?

Ever since seeing Truman, I can't help but constantly think that there's still that .0000000003057395734% chance that my life is a TV show............ 😱

Trust me, those thoughts are perfectly normal. Everyone has them and when I say everyone, everyone has them. If you start worrying about the thoughts and it doesn't stop bothering you, go see a therapist.

If I ever went for therapy, they'd lock me up.

Yeah, I already see a shrink but have never mentioned my wacky thoughts to him.. .I'm afraid that he'll analyze them and that I don't want to hear the deeper meanings behind them!

Good to hear.. My GF seems shocked everytime I mention them to her and she claims that she's never had such thoughts.. Though I got shocked the time my ex mentioned that she once thought about raping the kid that she was baby sitting, so I can't really judge :/

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are referring to the movie starring Jim Carrey titled The Truman Show, not the movie titled Truman, which is about none other than Harry S. Truman.

Correction, Truman is about Harry S Truman.

No period after the S, b/c it does not stand for anything.

I read that Truman's father couldn't decide on which of his grandfathers to name him after (Solomon or Shippe) so he gave him a "dual-purpose" S for his middle initial.

Damn, you learn something every day!

Even in the asylum I never thought I was insane.

Seriously though, yeah, everyone's had them. I dunno about VIOLENT thoughts, more like "man, I'd like to ***** that **** right **** on the *****". There, try figuring out what that means now.
