When you were young or anytime during your life did you ever get into a fad? I remember when I was in the 6th grade it was all about yo-yo's for about 6 months. There a a sweet yo-yo named the Bumble Bee that only the rich kids could afford. It was ~$60 and was awesome. But after 4 years I just looked on Ebay and found an excellent seller with one for $10.35 shipped. Now it's here on my desk, aww, all the memories. This yo-yo is awesome!

I remember those. I had some of those back around second and third grade.

I had pogs and a few hacky sacks, too. I never had a yo-yo, though. I never could get the thing to work right (and still can't), so I never got into that.

Slap bracelets - yeah I remember 'em, but I was pretty young.

I definitely got into pogs though, that was smack-dab in the middle of 5th grade - those were sweet!

Oh, and hacky sacks too - I remember those.

you must be my age, i was thinking of the same thing. slap bracelets! they stopped making those when there were several incidences of the metal coming out of the cloth cutting people's wrists.

Pogs, stonewashed jeans (though its making a comeback with "sandblasted" jeans with what I call landing strips on the legs)

What is it called when you shave your hair off, wear a baseball cap, sometimes backward, even indoors when it's 95 degrees, and baggy pants draped around your knees? I NEVER was a part of anything like that! I won't even start on the "car tuning" thing...

Hula hoops were big when I was young. In high school, wearing little painted surfboards carved out of wood hanging on a necklace.

magic, comics, yoyos...but I wouldn't call them fads. At the time, it seemed like I was the only one collecting.

I was into pogs in elementary school. I remember our Christian school banned pogs with yin-yangs.
When some kid had a yin-yang everyone was like omg how'd you get that?!?
I don't even remember how to play it now.

Magic the Gathering. Not as much of a "fad" since the game is still played today, but it was played much much more back in the day.

Oh man, I wish I still had my yo-yo. It was a Yomega Brain. We used to trade the non-spring side so we'd have multi-colors. I wonder if I can dig it up somewhere...
