Did you cry when Optimus Prime died?

It's huge and it's hungry. They want a TRANSFORMERS movie. There is a whole generation of guys who cried when Optimus Prime died who will see this thing over and over and over, and kids will just plain like the robots. So, fingers crossed that things do come together the right way. Dreamworks isn't planning to lowball this thing, and the potential hiring of <Michael> Bay should give fans hope that they're going to get the biggest, craziest TRANSFORMERS film they could hope for.

I thought Optimus transformed into another transfomer with new name and new everything? I still remember the good old days watched the original Transformers on tv after school.

Yep. Good days indeed.

No, but the other guy did look a lot like him.

I was unmoved....maybe it was because I was older when I finally saw the movie and it looked craptastic and had a craptastic soundtrack.

I'll cry plenty tears o' joy if they make a new Transformers movie. Right now I have a drawing of Metroplex as my desktop at home. I tried finding a good one of Devastator, but they were mostly lame or not big enough.

Yeah, I cried when Optimus died, but I think I was seven when I saw it.

And no, Optimus Prime handed the Matrix over to Ultra Magnus just before he died ("It falls to you, Ultra Magnus"), he didn't become UM. UM died later in the movie. And as we all know, Hot Rod became the hero.
