Did you buy Ms software between 1998 and 2010? You might be eligible for compensation!

Rather interesting lawsuit. Guess MS was price fixing in that period. Or should I say, M$. Back when that was cool to say that. :p

I don't recall if I did or not... my parents did though so might fill it for them. We bought a computer in 2000 or so with windows 98.

Thinking back on it, I think the only software I bought from them(that didn't come on a computer) is two oem copies of xp, and streets and trips which was either heavily discounted or free.

Yeah, I think that I bought a copy of Windows XP, a copy of Windows Vista, and a 3 pack of Windows 7 licenses in that time frame. It's too bad it's for Canadians only!

Before then, I was a poor college kid who "borrowed" Dell OS restore CD's from the computer lab. Back in the 90's the restore CD's didn't have a BIOS check to confirm that you were really on Dell hardware. ;)

On a tangent, booting a Win10 boot drive up in a different computer these days is pretty amazing! I think it was since the 2004 release (now on 20H2) that it got pretty good. I usually use Macrium (for Redeploy), but the late versions of Windows does a surprisingly good job! I've tested this out on half a dozen machines using a master image (unlicensed Windows install with unlicensed Office products, Adobe, etc. so I can clone & license OTG easily).

Hmm, how about pain and suffering compensation for having to use Windows?
