Did Weezer really cover Billy Joel's Uptown Girl?

I've got this track that sounds like Weezer (sort of) and is credited to Weezer and is a cover of "Uptown Girl".

The thing is, between CD Universe, CDNow, Amazon and Weezer.com, I can not see where Weezer did a studio performance of this song! :(

Does anyone know what song I'm talking about and who really does it or if it's really Weezer?

Yep, I can also confirm that Me First and the Gimme Gimmes did in fact cover Billy Joel's Uptown Girl. I like the song quite a lot, both the original and the Me First cover. I can see how you'd seem that the vocals slightly resemble Weezer, but in all other aspects of the music, I would never ever think it was Weezer, they just don't sound like that or play like that.

In any case, download all the Me First you can! Their cover of "Who Put the Bomp" is good :D... One of my favorites is "Phantom of the Opera". Download that song now!

Also if you like covers a lot, check out Reel Big Fish's cover of Take On Me, and Brown Eyed Girl. Awesome..

Cool, that's more ska-like though. I like.

If you like a great mix of punk and ska, check out Big Wig.

I've heard of (and love the music of) Less Than Jake, but I don't know about hearing that. I've been getting a lot of BigWig now, I used to only have 2 songs, I just upped that to about 20. Good stuff.

Reel Big Fish and Gwen Steffani also did a great cover of "Come on Eileen"
Goldfinger has a cool cover of "99 Red Baloons"
and the Hippos did an awesome cover of "What I Like About You"

I've got too many covers I like...

Yes... Reel Big Fish has made some GREAT ska covers. I actually thought that the Uptown Girl song was them, but the volcals didn't sound like RBF.
