Oh my god. Thats all i can say about this board. 319 fsb with a 1:1 ratio at 1T??!!!!

yes but at setting 318x9. totally weak.

i have the ocz 3200 rev2 plat on my msi n4 and i cant get it over 230fsb on x 10.
i havent even tried x 9.

Indeed. Why did anand OC a 4000+ anyway? isnt the whole idea behind overclocking to SAVE MONEY? Slap a 3000+ in there and tell us how far it goes.

I highly doubt anyone with a winchester will be able to obtain those high speed 1t rates due to it's limited memory controller... the 4000+ and FX-55 on the other hand, allow one ot max out the board's ability

DFI's DIMM slot placement will allow for a lot better memory cooling solution, whether cutom built or bought. Can't wait to see some benches on water cooled systems. =====> xtremesystems.org <=====

FF, my words !!! Pair this and a XP-120.....the fact of the gap between the dimms and the fact the XP-120 FITS was the reason i got this board over the MSI ! Board design is pure genius :)

Sounds like my future board when and if a worthy PCI-e video card is available.

I found the ATI x850XT listed at several places on pricewatch. Available now

the cheapest on pricewatch is an OEM and obviously NOT the Platinum ! Also..i would have to pay tax in IL :) The deal would NOT be that good.

BEsides, i already preordered one and ETA is 2/4

i think you confuse the multiplier with the divider. Why is it "weak" with 318x9 ????? It doesnt matter whether you use 9x or 10x multi...not for the memory

The review seems to indicate that it supports AMD cool & quiet(page 2 in the specs). Anyone know for sure if it does?

In my case, I already have the X800XT AGP so I'll just have to wait for the Spring refresh which may end up realistically be more like end of summer.

Check this article out for info on the NB cooler.

http://www.dfi.com.tw/Press/press_heade...ID=4839&LINKED_URL=arch343.jsp&SITE=NA

To provide rock solid stability, both nForce4 chipset based motherboards feature Japanese aluminum electrolytic capacitors, magnetic levitation north bridge cooling fan with fan speed control, and all aluminum heat sink on mosfets. The conductive polymer (electrolytic) aluminum solid capacitors provide high resistance to over-voltage and reverse voltage as compared with other capacitors, making them the ideal choice for overclocking and mission critical motherboards. To further provide maximum cooling on-board, both motherboards feature DFI?s first magnetic levitation chipset cooling fan that moves almost twice the air compared to standard chipset fans while producing extremely little noise. Thanks to magnetic levitation technology, the spinning fan blades ?float? in a magnetic field and thereby dramatically reduces friction, wear and tear, and heat generation. All of these hardware implementations directly contribute to cooler, quieter and longer lasting motherboards.

My guess is its a hell of a lot quieter than the A8N-SLI banshee....

At high cost, effectively nulling the main point of overclocking.
