Oh my god. Thats all i can say about this board. 319 fsb with a 1:1 ratio at 1T??!!!! Thats my dream, and the best part is they did it with the memory i curently have! I have an A8N-SLI board, but you can bet your butt, its gone in the wind. My A8N-SLI works great but cant get past 245 fsb.......no more! Im getting this the second it comes out and i dont care if i get price gouged. With my FX-55 and my OCZ Platinum Rev.2 memory and my 6800Ultra.......ill be so GOLDEN. Anyone else getting all tingly inside...lol????

Hey I see you have an x-connect, Igot an OCZ modstream, do you have any problems with getting your cords bent and run through the system?

I know abotu the DFI, man I wish I ahd waited for the Ultra instead of the MSI I got, it rocks but this kicks ass

Bunch of guys over at Xtremesystems.org already have it and benched/tested it.

I can't believe this board comes with upwards of 4.0 volts for the vdimm settings in the bios. :Q

Hey willyg43, I've had both, and the ModStream cables are a little less stiff than the X-connect cables, so they are easier to route cleanly than the X-connect cables, but not by too much. Regular unsleeved cables are still the best for running cleanly. :(

On a side note, I wish I had that DFI too! maybe in the future :D

That was a great review by Anand. OCers are drooling right now. You can just imagine the $140 version will be sold out in a matter of days. SLI boards have gone from $269, to $239, and now down to $140 with a pencil mod???? Oh my. That one will not stay on the shelves.

Yep, gonna try and order one of these ultra's too. By time I'm ready to build in a month, maybe it will be back in stock and in my hands. :D

already ordered, YESTERDAY :) didnt see the review yet, tho.

I do NOT trust memory reviews on AT btw..i say that in all honesty. Therefore, take any reviews of memory overclocks (319 at 1 T, yeah right...) (eg. cherrypicked OCZ mem sticks sent to AT) with a grain of salt. Even the people at OCZ say that you should not always expect same OC results like the tester on AT do :)

Otherwise....well .... as expected..or.even better than expected....i am so glad i got this board ! And i got the rev2 sticks too...so..yay :)

I'm surprised I have not heard anyone here or on anyother message board, bring up the placement of the DIMM slots...I for one think DFI did a hell of a job with the mobo design. DFI's DIMM slot placement will allow for a lot better memory cooling solution, whether cutom built or bought. Can't wait to see some benches on water cooled systems. =====> xtremesystems.org <=====

So far the new MSI Neo 4 is showing simular results if you check around.

For those who dont want to wait it appears that one would fill in quite nicely.

This DFI board looks great. I think this will be the one to get me (finally) into a PCI-e and AMD64 system. I scanned thru the article and saw something about Front-X, but I didn't really see exactly what it is. Anyone know?

Sounds like my future board when and if a worthy PCI-e video card is available.

I found the ATI x850XT listed at several places on pricewatch. Available now

No mention on whether the NB fan is quiet, or noisy like the one on ASUS. Does anyone know?

It's a magnetic levitation fan, as metioned earlier, so there should be very little noise.

I've had this board picked for my rig for months...however, I won't be building till May, so the prices will have a chance to reconver from whatever gouging they might encounter. Still, though, it's nice to see the DFI boards out and about. People who bought them should make sure to list their experiences.

Anyone know if the SI3114 SATA controller on the SLI-DR is actually calculating the parity on-chip or if that's shoved off to the CPU? SI's website is atrocious when it comes to actual specifications about stuff like that, and DFI's website wasn't any help, either. I would seriously hope that it's on-chip as that would be *very* nice. :D

And, just because I'm that type of guy with all the links ... more info about FrontX :D

Not to sound pessimistic but if SI is not saying anything about it I would guess "worst case scenario" which is your A64 doing the calculations.

well my problem is that I currently have a 6800 LE (read ultra) AGP at 430/1200 and a 20pin psu. So to get DFI and sell my NEO2, I would have to like add $200 for PCI-e 6800U and $125 for a decent 24pin psu. Considering I don't have a BH-5 of VX mem (actually I got pretty average ram) and the mem controller is ondie, no point for me to go crazy and buy the DFI. Excellent board though.
