Seems to work fine, though I've stopped using PdaNet -- seems like AT&T is actively looking for PdaNet connection and sends a txt to me whenever I use it.

There are people on Verizon that still use PDAnet? I thought everyone moved to FoxFi more than 2 years ago.

I thought everyone just used native tethering...

There are instructions to enable native tethering for almost any phone or custom rom.

I did this with call my devices on both Straight Talk and T-Mobile.

To be honest with you I've never had to do any run around, but maybe it's because I'm not on Verizon.
My first smartphone was the International Galaxy S2(which came with native tethering unlike its US counterparts), then Nexus 4, then Nexus 5.

PdaNet owns FoxFi iirc. The keys work for both programs. PdaNet has FoxFi built in

Kinda the same boat with me. I had the nexus 1, international HTC incredible S, Galaxy Nexus and now Samsung S4 ( ATT Branded, rooted, custom rom on TMO).

Tmobile doesn't bother me with tethering but i dont normally go over 500mb/ month

after the 4.3 update, foxfi will not work. kinda sucks paying for the full version and then a few months later the update kills it.
