I would think so... but considering the events that have been happening... it is only normal I suppose. Kinda sad if you ask me.

I'm not familar with the layout of Atlanta's airport but wouldn't they be able to just close a certain section of the airport where the idiot is roaming? Instead of closing the entire damned airport delaying flights by hours.

I agree Rossman. I hope were not sending a message that one idiot can shut down an entire airport!

If i remember correctly, in Atlanta you need to take a damn train to get between terminals.... I think closing that one terminal qould be sufficient... But think about it, if they only closed one, it could have been used as a distraction to get someone else through...

I agree that they overreacted...but then again, I'm sure they don't want to look dumb when that one guy who got through is the one that does bad stuff

The national guard guys should have shot the fvcker in the leg and avoided all this.

That's a good idea. Or if they have an option to shoot those hard rubber bullets, a dozen or so should give them enough welts to remember.

considering that a similar episode happened in Seattle just days before I dont think so.

Imagine this:

the new attack from terrorists consists of spreading a biological weapon (Ex. smallpox) thru our airport system using passengers of airliners as hosts. These passengers would be unknowingly affected by the weapon at the terminal...a place in which all passengers go thru which is always busy in cities like Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, LA etc. etc. etc. These passengers, once their destination is reached, can then begin to spread the weapon to anyone they come in contact with.

Didn't mean to scare you...but now you know at least part of what our governement has to take into account when people are seen scurrying up thru airport terminals with suspicious items in their possession. And now you know why everyone has to be rechecked (scanned)...because we can't tell these days who the terrorists are.......
