No, they're stopping every white van possible. They're specifically looking for a white astro van, possibly with a ladder on it.

Well, it's a white van in the picture, and all the other cars are
backed up behind it....I wish they would update the website

My dad drives a white Ford E150 with an orange ladder strapped to a ladder rack on top 😛. Not in the MD area though, heh.

I can literally WALK to the section of 395 where they claim to have stopped a white van that fits every description they have.

Of course, theyre stopping ANYTHING white.

Traffic is a disaster everywhere here....and i was supposed to drive down to EXACTLY where that shooting happened this morning. Don't think that's gonna happen now (there's an IKEA right near there, i was gonna buy furniture) 😛

You know, I've been thinking about ways they might be able to catch this guy.

Part of the training of a military sniper includes counter-sniper training; being able to take out the other side's shooters without being seen.

Recently it seems as though our friend has a fondness for gas stations . . . why not request a unit of snipers from the FBI's HRT (quietly of course . . . . if it shows up in the press he won't show) and let them set up on the roof, or whatever, and just wait. Might be worth a shot.

Because its Illegal to use military for policing inside the country. The only way around that is if the Governor calls up the national gaurd then they can use them that way, hence why they were able to get away with using them at the airports after 911.

Ah, durr, my train of thought got derailed there. 😉

The FBI's Hostage Rescue Team has quite a few snipers, many of them former military. That was who I was thinking of when I started the post . . . don't talk on the phone and post at the same time. 😉
 
Fox News reported earlier that the guy who was driving the white van during the last shooting turned himself in but he's actually not the sniper. He just happened to be in the area and left after the shooting.

I'd want to get the hell out of the area too!
