Did they intentionally make Coax a pain in the ass?

Not only is the damn cable hard as hell to maneuver and get going the way you want it to, but the freaking connector never grabs the threads.......
 
The stupidiest thing is the way the makers of devices put the coax connections down into detents on the back of the device, making you use your fingertips to screw them on.

Maybe they are trying to stop all the objects that are flying past the back of a TV from causing them to strike the connections in such a way as to cause the connector to loosen the 6 turns it has and fall off?
