Did the forums just crash?

Seems like the forums died for a few minutes? I couldnt access the site for a bit. When I did get back on, it said 36 users were logged in, which is far less than usual.
 
Nah, something hung, and nothing could get through to the forum box. A reboot did fix it but its not clear exactly what caused the issue. We will of course look into it.
