You personally? No. Not likely. What likely happened is that there is a zombie computer at that IP# and they are just running through blocks of IP#'s and running a standard script checking for any easy to access vulnerabilities. That being the case, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it happens on a regular basis. Then I'd be worried.

just went back through my logs and saw that same ip 4 days ago. Malwarebytes blocked it again. Thanks for the response, I'll keep an eye on it. If I keep seeing it who should I contact? ISP or a government authority?

Why is malware bytes catching these? Don't you have a hardware firewall that blocks them before your computer ever sees them?

Asia Pacific Network Information Centre hits my router every 15sec. for hours.
Block one set of numbers they hit me from a different #
When my wan ip started with low# like 24.etc they hit me 2hrs on 1hour off 24 7.
When my wan ip starts with 69. or higher they leave me alone strange.
This has been going on for 8 years.

Is there any way to secure yourself against these threats? I'm building a desktop soon and I'm only planning on installing MSE so far.

Also, I have a desktop in the network that may, or may not have viruses. Is there any way to prevent the viruses from 'hopping' onto my new desktop?
