I was driving on the expressway this afternoon to school for a late class. This one particularly large exit has two lanes. I was in the middle lane (as always), when taking this exit today. There was a large Chevy SUV to my right and somewhat ahead of me also exiting in the outer lane.
The Chevy SUV tried to make an abrupt lane change. Maybe he did not see where his lane was going. Anyway, the driver attempted to change lanes without giving a turn signal, and by almost ramming his vehicle into mine. So of course, I had to honk the horn to alert him. He pulled back into his own lane.
Now, that could have been the end of that. But this fellow decided to match my speed in the nearby lane, and started staring at me, as if he wanted some kind of apology. I got annoyed and gave him the middle finger, which is not something I normally do. I drove ahead, and this guy then came in my lane and started following very closely. I wasn't intimidated. So after a minute, he pulled into the left lane (we were now past the exit and on a different expressway), and started matching my speed again. I looked over, and both the driver and his buddy had pulled badges out and were holding them up against the window, while laughing. They did this for about 20 seconds and then sped off.
I wasn't pulled over and beaten senseless by these guys, but now I'm concerned that they have my license plate number and file some bogus charge against me. I didn't commit any crimes, but I was driving alone, and these two pigs were together, so a court would probably take their word against mine.
Anyway, don't make obscene gestures while on the road, kiddies. Nothing good comes out of it.
