IIRC, the head guys of Visiontek quit and formed BFG. Visiontek filed bankruptcy, emerged from that under new leadership, and now makes ATI based cards. BFG makes nvidia based cards. I probably have the facts screwed up, but that's the best I can recall.

basically BFG = Visiontek rebaged. Visiontek's name was purchased by a group that has severe animosity to Nvidia and their practices and is loyal to ATi and actually makes ATI's cards from my reading.
