Did some self order lab test, how do I tell my doctor?

I did the test because I wanted to find the cause of my Circadian Rhythm Disorder and Uncontrollable HBP.

I am seeing him because the suspected causes and treatment has failed to fix the problem. I did these test to explore a possible cause of my problem and help my doctor correct the problem.

This company here www.MyMedLab.com will have one of its doctor issue you a refferal to LabCorp. My test was done by LabCorp. This is perfectly legal.

What I do not want is for him to say stress is the cause of my sleep disorder and why medication has no effect on lowering my HBP.

People bring in lab results from other docs/health screenings all the time to docs I worked with.
No one cares. In fact some times it makes our lives much easier because then we can just start people down the treatment path and not have to wait on lab results.

For some reason people think Docs get paid to "order tests" and that we will be offended if we aren't the ones who get to bill for it.

Stop freaking out about it and go see him.

Since you decided to spill the beans here is some more info:

If you do have failure to control BP after a few months he would have been ordering these and a few other tests anyway. If playing with different meds/doses isn't working you start to wonder if the person has Secondary Hypertension (high BP caused by some other cause, like hormones or tumors).

I could sit here and give you a whole differential on different causes or you could just go to your freaking doctor and get the full set of labs drawn (payed by insurance this time).
