Did Outpost.com (i.e. Fry's) just totally drop the Outpost.com name?

Why didn't they just go with Frys.com from day one? I never understood why they went with a different online name than their B&M stores.
 
They weren't always affiliated with one another. Fry's bought Outpost awhile back in order to establish an online presence.
 
End of an era. 🙁

I remember when they had the free overnight shipping. My apartment had a package just about every day from them.

Order 11pm EST, it was on my doorstep 9am the next day...

Aw damn, I remember that. Back then, it was the only store I shopped from. The good days...
 
Ah, I do not remember those commercials at all!
I still order from outpost.com errr frys.com if they have the best prices. Love the fact they used DHL instead of UPS.
I did noticed everything is still shop4outpost in the links.
