Yeah, but if he doesn't want to tell everyone he should at least post something saying as much. Hell, with a topic like that he should post updates about not having any updates.

I will enver get the car back. The car was found gutted on the side of the road a few days after it was stolen. It was the supercharger from the car that was on ebay, which I may possibly get back, if I ever hear from the police. As far as I know, they haven't been able to do anything even thoguh they know who the guy is and where he lives.

Well that's depressing.

I'm assuming you've called them up. Did they actually tell you anything concrete, like "we haven't done anything yet", or did they just waffle and/or stonewall?

Has the guy filed an NPB complaint against you? 'cause I'm wondering how it is that the cops are delaying so long on this without him thinking that payment is never coming.

Hope it works out dude. And like people have said, update when you get any info 'cause this is about the most interesting thing to come up on ATOT in a good long while.

The cops were suppsoed to show up for a local pick-up of the item and pose as me, but when they got there the seller never showed, so they were gonig to see if they could get him on the phone again and reschedule. That was the last I heard.

Bummer dude. I hope the guy didn't wise up and leave. Has his eBay account been active at all? Is he selling anything else?

You said the cops know for sure who he is? Or do they just have an idea?

(Sorry about all the questions, this is just really interesting)

Good luck man :(

Ebay won't help you? They live for this stuff... I mean... they practially advertise that they LOVE working with law enforcement... local cops are retarded... go to higher powers....!

Awesome. They still have a suspect at least.

If this guy is what we think he is (chop shop proprietor) then he may have just had some "business" that came up abruptly. Hopefully the cops are working out a time to show up in person and are simply having to work around the guy's schedule.

Here's to hoping man. Good luck with it.

Just a thought, but have you considered that the guy might be an ATer? Considering an '86 mustang is probably an unlikely candidate for theft, especially considering how plain they look... unless he knew that it was as modded as it was, what value would a car like that be? And since you posted photos and descriptions of all the work you've done to it, AT is a teaming pool of suspects :Q

I see what you're doing. YOU stole his car and are trying to shift suspicion away from yourself. Well, let me just tell you, mister, it's not going to work. :p
