A co-worker and I were doubled over in laughter talking about this movie 5 mins ago. We were talking about the part when they play the old country music and the martians's heads explode in their little bubble helmets :p

Star-filled cast and funny! :D

Given its director and cast and premise, this movie should have been a thousand times funnier than it actually was. It was a huge disappointment to me. I'd also hardly call it a cult film-it was a big bucks major production.

One of my closest friends worked as a stunt person for that movie. He got burned pretty bad in the begging where the Marstians are attacking. Appearantly the timing of the bombs were mistimed... and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. His whole arm suffers severe burn :(

Please translate. There was a begging scene where some bombs went off early or late? I don't remember this part of the movie, nor do I remember any Marstians..

It was OK. Definitely not one of my favorite Tim Burton flicks, like Batman or Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, for example.

Why can't we work out our differences? Why can't we work things out? Little people, why can't we all just get along?
