Did my Sony Laptop just died?

Yesterday when i went back to my Sony Vaio model # PCGGRX500P that i used an hour before, i found it turned off with even the battery light off. I checked if it was unplugged and try to restart it but in vain.

Since then, i tried a spare sony power supply that i had but still nothing lights up on the lappy! So basically it shut down itself or crashed but now i can't see even the stand by light coming up like if it was not getting any power but i know that it's not the power supply.

Any ideas what can be the problem? It seems to me that it has to do with the PS on the lappy, anything i can do to get it back?

Have you tried removing the battery and then reseating? If that doesn't work, also try removing the memory and reseating that.

Thanks for replying. I tried both but in vain. I also removed the battery altogether but i seems like the lappy is not getting any juice even the power supply is connected. The green stand by/power light on the lappy won't light up like it used to even when it was turned off.

I removed the HD drive and i'm able to read the data on it when connected through a usb adapter, so it's not memory or HD related issue. Any way i can reset/check the power supply on the laptop? is there like a fuse somewhere?
BTW, it was connected to a APC unit so no chance it got fried by an electricity surge neither, really don't know what to do next....
