Did my mobo just die?

I've been having stability problems for a while (never really got around to fix the damn machine) with random lockups and "IRQL_NO_LESS_EQUAL" bluescreen errors for a while.

After work today, I come back and I find my machine crashing every 15 minutes or so with blue screens. After resetting my BIOS to fail-safe settings, the system reboots, but goes into the "Award BlockBoot" mode and attempts to recover the BIOS from somewhere (who knows where).

It reboots on it's own and now it won't even post. I tried changing vid cards, unseating the memory didn't even make it beep, reset CMOS, reset the battery... everything.

It just refuses to post. Did this thing pretty much just die on me?

Board in question is a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 rev1 board. My current sig is not current as I'm using a E6300 along with this board.

Please help.

I can only say try swapping out parts...if you have spares that is. Replace parts one by one...including psu.

It could be all sorts of things ranging from a flaky power supply to bad RAM (and the MOBO).

Unfortunately, the only way to know would be to swap parts out and try and isolate a problem (as stoma said).
