did my mechanic ruin my car?

My mechanic put the wrong strut assembly on my car so he took it off, and apparently reversed it out of the garage and drove it back in with the tire dragging against the inner fender. Even after an alignment my car pulls to the left at highway speeds (not noticeable in the city), and I have to have my wheel slightly turned to the right to keep the car tracking straight.

I'm thinking maybe they screwed something up driving the car with one wheel stuck, and now only one wheel is getting power and that's whats causing the pull? I don't know...but here's pics for anyone who wants em:

i cant see one wheel rubbing doing that much damage at all, if it was being held tight against the inner fender and they reved the sh!t out of it maybe... more than likely it just rubbed a bit. If something did go wrong because of that it would be in the differential if you have FWD. Even if the front end did get messed up, an alignment should make your car steer straight with the wheel centered. Get them to do the alignment again because obviously they did it wrong. Check the tire pressure too

Thanks. Yeah I checked the tire pressure in all four tires, and it's fine...

From what I've read I've been thinking its the differential as well. The car was literally lying down on the tire, and I just can't see how that wheel could've even moved with that much weight on top of it. Sadly the problem still exists after a rework (which they charged me $300 for..refused to pay more money after the initial $500, especially for a rework, they drove off with my car and hid it so I couldn't take it if I wanted to, called cop who happened to be mechanic's friend, cop said he couldn't write a police report for me or force mechanic to give me my car back, that I could take him to court and wait weeks likely months to see it again, so I was forced to pay cash to get my car back).

I'm just really pissed that I dumped $800 and my car still isn't fixed, and was forced to pay cash so that I couldn't dispute the charges...

this is why I do all the maintenance and repairs to my cars....nine times out of ten some half arsed mechanic is going to screw things up and then fudge the blame off to somebody else, while charging you 3 times as much as the repair was worth.
