I have a server rack type thing with 4 SCSI harddrives inside. I had them all running one day when I started getting a "Windows Delayed Write Failed" for one of them. I rebooted my computer, and now it doesn't show it, and my shortcut to it says it is unavailabe. It still spins up, but i can't access it. Any other way to check what is wrong? The other three are working perfectly.

If the drive and controller support SMART monitoring, I believe there is a tool you can download to query the drive (if the electronics are still functional at all). Google would probably turn it up.

It sounds an awful lot like you have a dead drive, though.

if it's dead, what is wrong with it? It sounds fine, and it still spins up, is there anything i could do to fix it?
