Did memory prices go up?

3 years ago I got 1 Gig of Kingston DDRPC2700 HYPERX for $70
Now, Newegg wants that much for 512!!!

pc2700 and pc3200 rams are popular now.

Seems like they spiked again. I should have bought up a lot more when Newegg and Monarch were having price wars. It got down into the 60's for some decent PC3200.
