I was looking at some memory, and literally, last week, a kingston 8GB DDR3 was 80 bucks. Today it's 180.

has to be a mistake or something because there was no recent change in memory prices not at least from stores where I order from

The whole first page of 8GB at Newegg doesn't go over $64fs, right now.

I miss the days of cheap ram. I just looked at my Newegg history, and I bought 4 x 4 GB of the Samsung super-ram (low profile 1.35v) for $61.18 (total!) on 10/25/2012. $30.59 per kit!

And on 11/21/2012, I picked up 2 kits of G.Skill Ripjaws (2 x 4GB), so 16GB total for $50 ($25 per kit!!!). That was a Shell Shocker deal.

Those were the days.

Yeah. I bought 32GB of the same samsung ram last year in two separate orders. One set of 16G at $80 and the second set of 16G at 57.77 simply because the price was too good to pass by. I sort of kicked myself for buying in at $80, but after the prices sky rocketed it turns out I made the right call. Today's Newegg Shell Shocker has 8G kit at $53 and that ram is nowhere near as good as Samsung I got.

I think it's just mwave that has their 8GB for 151. Ridiculous... no wonder they've been going down hill recently...

Prices went up Today @ most Suppliers.
I build Systems and order RAM in Volume.
I have an Order for a Client and I needed 26 8GB Pieces.
Between 9:00AM and 2:00PM three of my Supplier increased prices on 1600MHz DDR3
CL 11 10%.
I was able to get one to hold the price they quoted in the AM.
I ended up with Crucial Modules @ $52.80 ea. In the PM they were quoting $58.00.
As the Retail Channel replaces Inventory, you can bet your bottom dollar prices will increase!
BUY NOW!!
In January I was buying these same Modules for $29.00!!!!
