Did I setup my C-media card and 2.1 speakers correct?

I just got my audioexcel theater excel 5.1 channel card with cmedia 8738mx chipset. link to sound card I installed it with the latest cmedia drivers and connected my 2.1 speaker system to the line-output on the card. I'm relatively new to 6 channel sound cards as my previous card was a 4.1 sb live! and am a little confused about this card. I can't tell yet whether my woofer is working or not as it is getting late and don't want to wake up my family. My speaker system contains 2 front left/right speakers that connect to the woofer, then the woofer connects to the sound card. Is the woofer connector supposed to go to the line output on the sound card or subwoofer/center output jack? Thank you.

Now that it's morning give it a try ...but it would depend on your Speaker set-up...if you have a seperate woofer jack then put it in the subwoofer/center output jack.

Well it sounds like my bass is working. But now i can't get the spdif optical output to work. I turned spdif playback on in my mixer and have it at 2.1 , not 4.1 or higher.
