Stopped in at a several different gas stations on an 800 mile drive across I-90 last week and 20oz bottles of pop were now $1.30 instead of the $.99-$1.10 I usually paid.

Get back home and pack of 12 cans at Walmart went from $1.99 up to $2.50.

Coke have to jack up prices to pay for the billion dollars worth of advertising they are going to spend at the Super Bowl this year?

And around here, though I am not really a pop drinker, 20 oz's have been $1.25 or so for a while
 
Midwesterner. 🙂 Its been a while since I've heard someone call it Pop. I've taken to calling it soda myself, after leaving in TX/AZ for the last few years.

I'll never call it all coke though. Stupid inbred southerner's can't read a fricking a label . . . *grumbles* 😛

I was also at Disney 1.5 weeks ago. Stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort. By "Pop" they don't mean soda as Pop Century is a themed hotel area.

 
In machines and in gas stations they have gone up here. But usually at Hy-Vee (Grocery Store) they have 4 12packs for $8-$10. Currently $8.88

Seriously. This happened in like the last week or so didn't it?

We've been paying $1.99 for 12 packs here in IA for a couple years now. Just last week it went up to $2.50 a pack. My wife and I usually split a 12 pack of Diet Cherry Coke each week.

WHOA! At my local Loews they charge $3.50 for a 20oz bottle when there is a fvcking waldbaums right next to it!

Although, I'm coming to find I call it "soft drink" lately.

Then again, I'm drinking more and more water so I don't worry too much about it.

Either that or I get some Diet Rite from Sam's Club. No sugar, no Aspartame, no high prices. 🙂
