Quick question, is it possible to overvolt on the Abit KT7 or just the A7V...meaning beyond 1.85 with mobo mods or other means. Thanks

I heard there is a way to get the Asus A7V (i have one) @ 1.9v, but that's it..
I wouldn't recommend it though.

I just got my 700mhz duron @ 1008mhz @ 1.8v @ 40c 🙂

There are ways to get both the A7V and thee KT7 to over do the voltage. Normaly it would only be by .1v (=1.9v), but using different resistor values I've seen one guy go as high as 2.3 volts. I wouldn't recomend anything higher than 2v though, even then that's kinda high.

Phuz,

What kind of cooler do you have on the CPU....and what motherboard settings did you use......

I just bought a taisol HSF, AMD approved for 1.1gig....I now can get 9x100 at 1.8 volts....but CPU seems reluctant to go higher...the new HSF really cooled things down...but about 3-5 degrees celsius cooler now.

thanx for the replies...if anyone knows a url of where ican find out more about the KT7...not the A7V, I would be very appreciative. As a side not, my KT7 gives me 1.91V whe nit's set for 1.85...interesting... but my temps still rarely go over 40C at 915mhz and 1.91 VCORE.

🙂

I have:
Alpha PAL 6035 (blowing at the CPU)
Asus A7V with Dips w/ 1003 bios
PC133 Infinion RAM.
It hovers @ 40c.

I just have it at the 10x multiplyer mark. I didn't overclock my FBS, because it just causes flakyness for most people.. I won't bother.

I'm pretty happy.. I'm going to see if it'll go down to 1.75v.
