So I took advantage of a pretty good deal ftom the Hot Deals forum a few weeks back. I asked a question about it and then a bunch of people posted non-helpful information and veiled threats on the thread.

Anyone else had this problem?

Oh wait, I forgot. This is ATOT.

Yeah

LOL

Looks like Dell's rebates are processed in AZ--so the OP is safe!

Phew, close one.

If you guys haven't knoticed, 99% of the time people post about their fraudulent activities online, nothing gets done about it - big deal, nobody cares, even if someone from dell reads the forum, what are the chances he/she is a crybaby snitch?

Dell doesn't care if you order from small business without using a business name. As a non-business owner, how else would I have ordered my Latitude instead of a crummy Inspiron? ;)

You might, however, have given them a reason to deny the rebate if they verify (highly unlikely) or if the mail gets returned (tape a small note for your mail carrier inside the mailbox that says "Accepting mail for [Fake, Inc.]" in order to prevent that from happening--when you receive the rebate, remove the note).

I think you'll get the rebate if it's an allowed deal, and you did everything else right.
