Did I mess up my hardware?

Using ATI Tray Tool, I overclocked my Radeon 9800 pro to 400 core and 380 memory speed. It said there were no artifacts, and according to my Soltek heat reader, my system was only at 45C. Like a fool, I let the speed burn in overnight. I then installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, and Unreal Tournament 2004 to test my new machine. The game ran smoothly until about 5 - 15 minutes of play, and then it either gave me a blank blue screen, or a critical error, and it quit. Next, I installed the DOOM 3 Demo to see if it was the hardware or the software. Even in DOOM 3, it exited after 15 minutes, but it either resets my computer, or it says that it "encountered errors". With every game I try, the same thing, or a varation of it, happens. I even tried clocking my video card back to default settings, but nothing happens. Finally, in an act of desperation, I completely reformatted my hard drive. Still, I'm getting the same result.

Have I killed my card?

One thing for sure, it's not your hard drive. What exactly did you do *burning in over night*?
But IMHO you permanently damaged the card, from what you say so far.

Did you have the stock cooling on it?
I have been able to get my AIW 9800 to 418/378 running stable with an artic cooler
If I go above that 378 mark problems usually start to occur.
Good luck

I run my stock BBA 9800 pro @ 415/385 w/o any probs. Although system temp IMHO has little to do with the vid card, it seems a high to me (my cpu doesn't even run that hot at his time of year).

Sounds like it may be a new build. Might wanna run Memtest86, maybe it aint' the vid card.

Ah... it's not the video card. I'm new to ocing, and some genius friend of mine told me to increase the voltage to the card so it would have enough power. I turned that down to default, and voila. No more problems.
