Well had the interview, the manager that was interviewing me had already recieved 3 phone calls (which I didnt tell those people to call) about me and how good I was at the job, at the interview basically he had shown me the company's pay structure and was (I believe) ready to hire me. He asked for 2 other references so I gave my current (at the time) boss's name/number and told him I would call him back with the number of one of my past bosses (I left most of my jobs on good terms). Now what happaned was I called back later that afternoon and another employee picked up, I gave him the message to give to the manager. I called the manager today asking why I didnt here back from him and he said he never got the message (I told him which employee I had given the message too). So he took down the reference information today as well

Now what I have to ask is, did I mess this sure thing? If you were the manager would u not hire me because of this, or based on part experiences would you not hire? What would the manager most likely do in this case?

I know its my fault completely I should have called the next day to verify. What should I do? Is there anything I can do?

Also I should mention that the interview was last Thursday and I called him back today (1 week later Thursday.)

I wouldn't NOT hire you over that. But if he already picked someone else... yeah.

Should I call back tomorrow or monday and ask if the postition has been filled? (Basically Im transferring from one location to a location with higher traffic, I am one of the top sellers at my location, that i why so many people called him on my behalf, also its for a different company owned job thats why he had to show me the pay structure and thats why I had the interview.)

I don't know if I would hire you after seeing how you type. It's pretty tough to follow when you don't use punctuation correctly.

It really depends on the interviewer. Some are very picky about things, others don't care. There is no way to tell.
