Did I make the right choice?

Went to a friend's house tonight to play some backyard paintball, go swimming, and have a BBQ. We (the host, his girlfriend, and my other two friends) pretty much just hung out after dinner and had a fire in his firepit roasting some marshmellows. I had a great time... but (there's always a "but") the people wanted to start drinking. Somehow the kid acquired a 12-pack of Yuengling (not the best, I know) and we were going to drink a bit and watch some fireworks. There was 5 of us there, so that was like 2 beers a person.. nothing to get drunk by. I drove to the kids house and I opted not to drink. Bear in mind that all of us are only 17, so it would have been underage drinking. My question is this... did I make the right choice? Part of me says no, but the greater part says yes.

EDIT: Whoopsy, forgot the poll... just added it.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If you believe you made the right choice, then you did. But since you asked, I think you made a good choice not to drink. WHERE'S THE DAMN POLL!! 😛

There's nothing wrong with a little responsibility.

Seriously. Don't do something just because other people want you to, especially if you don't want to do it. ESPECIALLY if it's illegal.

if you Wanted to drink I think you made the wrong choice, but if you didn't want to drink I think you make the right Choice

Well the good thing was, these people are all of my sincere good friends and they didn't care at all when I left. They respected my decision, and I guess that's the mark of true friends.

You should explain why you're questioning your decision. Are you worried about the impression you left on your friends or something? 😛 If they think less of you because you didn't crack open a can of beer... fvck em.

more girls and orgy ftw.

I have my own opinions on this, so here goes. (I always do buck tradition)

You made the RIGHT choice BECAUSE YOU WERE DRIVING.
a. Screw legal drinking age (I started drinking at 15 years old) You're old enough to serve your country, you're old enough to drink, IMO! (You can serve at 17 if your parents sign off on it!)
b. Screw peer pressure (5 years from now, you'll have all new friends anyway)

I sincerely hope that you continue to not drink and drive throughout your life. Drinking is great. Driving is great. The two do not mix. Ever.
