Hi guys

I got my system put together and didn't realize till I had to put the additional pig tail on the card that it doesn't have a DVI output. I also purchased a Dell 2001FP and I am wondering if I should 1) return the card and get a 9800 which I understand does have a DVI output. I don't ever epxect to use dual head.

What do you guys think?

If you have a LCD that has a DVI input, you should get a card with DVI output. I hear that the image quality is much better with DVI. Want to sell that AIW 9600?

[edit] oops, didn't see you can still return the 9600. That is what I would do [/edit]

seperate tv tuner is better anyways, I personally don't like the quality of ATI's TV WONDER.

I'd say it depends on your patience. From a gaming perspective (if that is your intended use) the LCD response times will be more of a hinderance than the difference between a VGA and DVI connection. A seperate card is definitely a bonus for the VI/VO features, but then again, I've never heard anything bad enough about the AIW's (recently) that suggests it would be a bad choice either.

TV quality on the AIW cards is much better than what the average PCI TV card gives you. This is because the ATi chip has very excellent hardware deinterlacers and filters.

Anyhow, you should have a DVI output if you have a DVI capable display device.

Thanks for the feedback guys. So which card supports the DVI is the 9800 the only one? What about the 9700?
