Online course...
class discussions online...
I keep feeling like I'm speaking a different language than the other people in the class... they string sentences together... all the words look like English words, but I can't make out any meaning whatsoever.

Business speak is entirely different than regular speak. It's even worse if you're a regular writer of any sort of expositional style, emotional writing, poetry, etc. It's a surprisingly difficult transition.

"discuss the methods for collecting situational knowledge"

One answer:
"You have to have knowledge about the organization. Why get involved with a company that doesn't share your values. For example, what if you have small children, or someone close to you gets sick, and you need to take a couple of days off, but you have been a good worker. If this company doesn't have family values, then though you have been a good worker, your job may be in jeopardy because that is not important to them."

I'm so lost...

I've decided to just bs along. I think I have a better grasp on what's going on than others in the class, but it's a huge battle to determine which ones are idiots and which ones are merely speaking "office speak" which means saying very little with a great deal of words.

It's like everyone is grasping for straws on a lot of the questions... I have no clue what half of the questions are even asking. Sometimes they're so vague that they make no sense. Other times they're so specific, I wonder "how am I supposed to write a response to that which is different from everyone else's response." Oh well. I'm done with that assignment. 2 more to go before midnight.

you don't know what he is talking about because that entire paragraph is BS. Don't worry about it, most people in my MBA program are idiots too.

it sounds like it is from an organizational behavior class. that class is BS too.

It's all about being to BS really well and add in a few very vague facts to make yourself sound credible enough that they will believe you :p
