today I was adding a heatsink to my video ram on my old geforce 3 card using some arctic silver thermal adhesive and I got some on one or two of thepins next to the videoram. On arctic silver's website, it says that if it gets on the pins, it may create problems. On some review sites for the arctic silver, it says that if it gets on the memory leads, it may kill the card. Right now I'm using the card and I don't see any problems so far. If the adhesive messeed up the card, should i be getting problems right away or will it take a couple dys to develop?

I believe if something was going to happen it would have right away. You have to be careful with thermal grease because it will conduct electricity. But if you have had no problems so far you should be alright, I would think.

only conducts under stupidly high pressure.
Ive tried this with as1,2,3 and 5 useing a old school t-bird...tried the unlocking via bridge closeing and not once did it work. also tried to intentionally fry out other odd and ends old simms, dimms etc etc...hell even tried wiht my old school GF2 PRO and still cant get it to fry a thing out...so I dont believe for one second it is conductive.....now the epoxy seems to be a different animal in its own right...when i AS'd my ram sinks on I used an exacto "putty/chisel" blade to apply it to the chip...worked out a small thin layer and I had enough control that it wouldnt get on anything...the epoxy i wont trust one bit...this is why i just use the alumina epoxy
