First off i bought this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824254020
I just called the manufacturer of my LCD Monitor for a repair and said they would warrant the product since the monitor was about over a year ago but guess what it had a warranty of 3 years of parts and labor. Their Terms and Condition never even specified about the one year warranty on their Panels replacement for LCD: http://america.hannsg.net/onweb.jsp?webno=3333333325 . Do you guys think i should contact newegg and see what they say about it? The technical support person said it would cost around 300$ for them to fix this problem?

Does anyone know specifically the warrant specifications for BenQ then Samsung and then Acer (as these are the main brands im focused on right now) in particular regarding their Panels? i really dont wanna get deceived like this ever again.

Here is an image showing whats wrong with the monitor: http://i294.photobucket.com/al.../k3nshady/100_1882.jpg

Edit: I just contacted BenQ and they said their 3 year warranty covers everything (except cable and cords) including their panels. Can anyone else confirm this?

Their site says 3 years parts and 3 years labor from the way they wrote it.

The warranty hereof shall mean a period of 3 years parts and labor from the original date of purchase.

If your LCD shipped with warranty info in the box, see what that says. But if you otherwise have to pay $300 to get it fixed, it is definitely a rip-off and you might as well buy a new LCD (another brand at that) at that point.

Other LCDs of theirs also list 3 years both parts and labor on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16824254018

I even contacted samsung too and they said their 3 year warranty covers everything on their monitor. You know what the funny thing about hanns g is? Each time i call their tech support, its the same person picking up the phone. i called them 4 times after 5-10 minute intervals and i even selected a different option, and still the same person (presale line and technical line). The person's name is Brian. I contacted newegg.com and they've said they'll look into it.

Hanns g customer support phone number is: 1888-842-6674
