Did I just get owned on a cell phone purchase at rat shack?

I just picked up the lg vx4400 w/ a verizon call plan(america's choice 300 2yr). I figured their prices would be equivalent to the prices on verizon's webpage. However, when I look at my receipt, it shows a charge of $179.99. It doesnt' really say what that includes. The price at verizon.com is 149.99 - $50mir and free activation. I'm assuming that my radio shack purchase doesn't qualify me for the rebate.

activation is usually waived for 2 year contracts.
Don't you have 30 days ? IF you don't like it you return and just pay what you used.

I would just find a mom and pop shop and find a better deal.
